December 21, 2018 Update
With the holidays approaching, our kindergarteners have been busy reading and making crafts all about Christmas. We’ve also been rehearsing for our upcoming Christmas show. Our students are now able to write most of their upper case and lower case letters, and now they have been working on early reading skills by developing letter sounds. We’ve also begun to write short sentences using high frequency words.
This week our kindergarteners welcomed many pre-k students for a read aloud. The students worked side by side, completing arts and crafts activity together; everyone had lots of fun!
In religion class, we have been learning that the five senses are a gift from God to help us enjoy his creation. We have also been learning about how to use our senses to make and record scientific observations as scientists.
In math class, our kindergarteners have just started to learn about addition from zero to ten, and we’re looking forward to even more learning in the new year!
