4/17    Over the vacation I`d like the children to read an age appropriate chapter book so they are reading at least 20 to 30 minutes a day. The book can be their choice ( fiction or non-fiction).  Go to mathletics.com for 15 or more minutes a day and work on fractions, division, and of course multiplication. * If your child does not have a book about the Apollo 11 mission ( or related persons) by the Monday we come back he or she will have a zero. I plan to do the work on April 30th

4/15   R W N  374, 377 The Spelling words are the name of all the Apostles  Write each name 5 times each but no sentences. ***Two tests tomorrow  Religion and Science   ***Religion lesson 19   Study page 230 ***Science Information on the 4 Seasons Study from your notebooks, ducksters.com,  and the Lab Learner books pages 26, 37  Today the children wrote a Paragraph on which Season was their favorite and why ( Please focus on weather and science facts). 

 

 

 

4/12   Religion Test Tuesday Chapter 18  ***Mathletics:  They should be doing fractions. ***Apollo 11 or related books are due. ***Find a chapter book ( any Genre ) to read over the vacation. They will be doing a book review when they come back from the Easter break.  ***Science study page 37 in the Lab Learner book and the vocabulary on page 26 . I showed a video of his famous speech,the " I Have a Dream" speech. The collage should reflect words and pictures that depict all people doing things together and working together. Please no over sized collages.  We spent a good amount of time on what Dr. King was hoping for on that day in washing, D.C. be creative. Due on Monday ***SS: Go to www.historyforkids.net and ducksters.com  and research all the information about the civil rights movement of African Americans and Jim Crow Laws.
